Doing Business with J2 Innovations

General expectations for all distribution customers (OEMs and distributors) of J2 is to be self-sufficient in their Go-To-Market and support of the FIN Framework technology.

Customers need to provide:

  • Their own branded version of FIN Framework (except for distributors which sell FIN Stack in North America)
  • 1st and 2nd Level Technical Support
  • Ability to train their Installers and System Integrators
  • Deliver own marketing activities for their branded product
  • Preferably create custom value-add to the FIN Framework product
  • Preferably be evangelists of the Haystack community too


J2 also offers the customer the following services and offerings:

  • Technical support for trained individuals within the customer’s organization
  • Train-the-trainer program to empower the customer to offer own training
  • Direct training for customer’s SIs and Installers (occasionally to help jump start)
  • Developer training: Custom UIs, Scripts, Connectors, Dashboards, Control Logic, Templates, and many other things
  • Glue Team custom professional services: Custom UIs, Scripts, Connectors, Dashboards, Control Logic, Templates and many other things
  • Marketing and sales support (e.g. joint marketing at trade shows/fairs, and joint sales for major opportunities)
  • Promotion of the Project Haystack organization and the Haystack standard to generate pull for our customers

J2 Relationship to Siemens

Siemens is an OEM of J2 Innovations without direct control over J2 business despite its ownership. J2 Innovations operates as an independent legal entity, and has firewalls between business partners and Siemens.
